Voice AI

Your phone is your cash register. Right now it goes to voicemail.

Avery answers every call in two rings, day or night. She knows your services, quotes your pricing, and books the job straight into your calendar. Most owners do not clock that she is AI on the first call.

She is answering right now. Free, no commitment, no form first.

01 · The leak

Every call you miss is a job your competitor books.

Not a lost lead. A lost job. The caller with a flooded laundry room does not leave a voicemail and wait.

At a $400 average ticket, that is $10,800 a month walking to whoever picked up. The receptionist costs $499.

Those percentages are the figures commonly cited across the trades, and the ticket is an example. Run your own numbers. The answer does not usually get better.

02 · Answering now

Do not take our word for it. Call it.

This is not a recorded sample or a scheduled demo. It is a live line running the same system your customers would reach. Ask her about pricing, try to interrupt her, talk over her, book a slot and then cancel it.

Then decide whether your customers would notice.

03 · What she does

She is not a phone tree. She does the job.

Configured on your services, your pricing, and your service area, so she answers like somebody who works there.

03.1

Answers in two rings, 24/7

Nights, weekends, holidays, and the four hours a day you are under a house. She never puts anyone on hold and she never has a bad morning.

Both plans
03.2

Books straight into your calendar

She offers real open slots, takes the address and the problem, and puts the job on the schedule while the customer is still on the line. No callback, no phone tag.

Both plans
03.3

Routes the emergency to your cell

You decide what counts as urgent. A burst line rings your phone immediately. A question about a filter change gets booked for Tuesday.

Both plans
03.4

Knows your prices and your area

She quotes your real service pricing, not a shrug and a callback promise. If the caller is outside the towns you cover, she says so instead of wasting a truck roll.

Both plans
03.5

Texts you a summary of every call

Who called, what they wanted, what she booked, and what she could not answer. You read the whole day in ninety seconds instead of listening to voicemail.

Both plans
03.6

Calls the estimates that went cold

She follows up on quotes nobody booked and pitches your maintenance plan on the way out. This is the part that pays for itself twice.

Receptionist Pro
04 · What it replaces

The honest price comparison.

We are not the cheapest way to answer a phone. We are the cheapest way to answer it well, all night, and have the job on the schedule by morning.

Option What it costs The catch
A receptionist on payroll $3,500 to $5,200 a month Fully loaded cost of a $45k hire. Covers 40 hours, not 168. Takes lunch, vacation, and sick days.
A live answering service $319 to $1,079 a month Published rates buy 50 to 500 minutes. They take a message. They do not know your prices and they cannot book the job.
Enterprise AI call platforms $449 to $3,500 a month Built for shops with five or more CSRs. Billed per minute, so the bill spikes in your busiest month. Sold separately from your website.
Voicemail Free 85 out of 100 callers never call back.
GotLocal Receptionist $499 or $999 a month Flat rate with the minutes published up front. Books into your calendar. Runs on the same system as your website, so it already knows every service and town you cover.

Payroll figure is a $45,000 base at the standard 1.25x to 1.8x loaded multiple. Answering service and AI platform ranges are those vendors' own published rates, plus reported enterprise pricing where a vendor does not publish. Checked August 2026.

05 · Pricing

Two plans. Flat rate. Minutes published up front.

The complaint everyone has about per-minute AI phone billing is the surprise in July. So we do not bill that way.

06 · Going live

She is taking calls inside a week.

Step 01

We learn your business

Your services, your pricing, the towns you cover, and what counts as an emergency worth waking you up for. One call, about thirty minutes.

Step 02

We build and test her

We write her scripts, connect your calendar, and then call her ourselves until she handles the awkward ones correctly. You listen to those test calls before anything goes live.

Step 03

She takes overflow first

She starts on the calls you were already missing, which is after hours and anything that rings more than four times. Nothing you currently answer changes.

Step 04

You decide how far she goes

Some owners leave her on overflow forever. Some hand her the whole line once they have read a month of transcripts. Your call, either way.

07 · Questions

What owners actually ask before they turn her on.

Q.01

Will my customers know it is AI?

Some will and some will not. Call (832) 479-4590 and judge for yourself, because that is the only honest answer. What matters more is that she picks up at 11pm and books the job, which voicemail does not do.

Q.02

What happens when she does not know the answer?

She says she does not know, takes the details, and hands it to a human. She is set up to escalate rather than guess. You get a text the moment it happens.

Q.03

Do I have to give up my phone number?

No. Your number stays yours. We forward the calls you want her to take, which is usually after hours and overflow at first, and you can change that split whenever you want.

Q.04

What if I blow through the included minutes?

You pay $0.75 a minute past 500 on Receptionist and $0.60 past 1,500 on Pro, and we tell you before it happens rather than after. If you are consistently over, we move you up a plan instead of letting the overage ride. Nobody should get a surprise bill in July.

Q.05

Do I need a GotLocal website to get her?

No. Voice AI runs on its own if you already have a site you like. It does work better attached to a GotLocal site, because she is already loaded with every service and town on it.

Q.06

How is this different from the cheap AI receptionists I keep seeing?

The $29 tools answer the phone and take a message. Ours books the job into your calendar, quotes your real pricing, knows which towns you serve, and escalates the emergency to your cell. The gap is setup work, and that is what the one-time fee buys.

Q.07

Can I cancel?

Month to month, no contract. Tell us and we turn her off at the end of the billing period.
