Best HVAC Websites: 12 Real Examples

Heating and cooling websites worth studying, picked from 38 real company sites we tested. Every entry shows the home page, the score it earned and a takeaway for your own site.

Checked October 7, 2026. These businesses are not affiliated with GotLocal unless marked.

How These Sites Were Picked

The pool was 38 heating and cooling companies across the United States and Canada. Each one is a local or regional business with its own name on the trucks. Franchise brands and national chains were left out before any test ran.

Each home page was opened on a phone sized screen first. We recorded whether a caller can tap the number without scrolling, whether a booking button is in view, and whether reviews and real photos show up. Page counts came from the sitemap each company publishes.

A mobile Lighthouse run measured speed. All of it fed one rubric worth 100 points. Three sites blocked our checker, which left 35 with a score.

The list is the eleven highest scores plus one site GotLocal built. Ours ranked 22nd of the 35. We show it anyway, clearly marked, so you can judge it against the rest.

Testing was done on October 7, 2026. A site can change the next day, so treat the numbers as a snapshot. Nothing here is a statement about any company, only about its website.

What the Best HVAC Websites Have in Common

Booking is built in

HVAC sites lean on online scheduling more than any other trade we tested. 20 of the 35 load a booking tool on the home page. 33 of the 35 put a schedule or book button on the first phone screen.

They are big on purpose

Heating, cooling, air quality and maintenance plans each need room. 33 of the 35 sites have ten or more service pages, and half have 72 or more. Furnace repair and AC installation are different searches, so they get different pages.

Service areas are spelled out

27 of the 35 sites have ten or more city or service area pages. Only four have none. A homeowner wants to know you come to their town before they call.

The trucks are the brand

Ten of the twelve sites on this list open with a photo of their own van, crew or tech. It reads as a real company at a glance. 28 of the 35 sites we scored also show reviews on the home page.

Heavy pages cost points

Speed is where HVAC sites give points back. Half of the 35 scored 59 or lower on mobile Lighthouse, and 11 scored under 50. Six scored 90 or better, which shows a large site can still be quick.

Questions About HVAC Websites

What makes a good HVAC website?
A visitor should be able to call or book within a few seconds of landing. After that come service pages, service area pages, reviews and photos of your own team. Every site on this list has most of those in place.
Do HVAC companies need online booking?
It is common in this trade. 20 of the 35 sites we scored run a scheduling tool on the home page. A form or a clear phone button still works if you answer quickly.
How many service pages should an HVAC website have?
Give each thing you sell its own page. Repair, installation and maintenance are separate pages for furnaces, air conditioners and heat pumps. Half the sites we scored have 72 service pages or more.
Why are so many HVAC websites slow on phones?
The home pages carry a lot. 20 of the 35 load a scheduling tool, and most open with a large photo. Half scored 59 or lower for mobile speed, and only five showed their main content within 2.5 seconds.
Should an HVAC website list every town it serves?
Yes, with a real page for each one where you can. 27 of the 35 sites we scored have ten or more of these pages. A single list of town names in the footer does much less.
Want an HVAC website like these?
GotLocal builds heating and cooling websites with a page for each service in each town you cover.
