Best Painting Contractor Websites: 10 Real Examples

Painting company websites that win estimates, drawn from 67 house painter sites we reviewed. You get the home page, the score and a lesson from each one.

Checked October 7, 2026. These businesses are not affiliated with GotLocal unless marked.

How These Sites Were Picked

We began with 67 house painting contractors in 35 states. To spread the list out, we took the most reviewed painters in each state from listings we already held. Franchises, paint stores and artists were removed first.

Eleven of those sites did not load at all. Several domains no longer exist. One more turned out to be a refinishing shop, so 55 painting company websites were scored.

For each one we opened the home page on a phone screen and read the sitemap. We noted the call button, the estimate path, reviews, schema and https. We counted service pages and town pages, and ran Lighthouse for mobile speed.

We stopped at ten sites. The scores fall away after that, and a shorter list of strong sites is more use than a padded one.

Photos mattered more here than in any other trade, and we judged them by eye. The review took place on October 7, 2026. It covers the websites, not the quality of anyone's painting.

What the Best House Painter Websites Have in Common

The work is the hero

Painting is visual, and the best sites act like it. Six of the ten on this list open with a finished job, inside or out. None opens with a paint can or a roller.

A free estimate is one tap away

Nobody books a painter without a price. 34 of the 55 sites put an estimate or quote button on the first phone screen. 38 put a tap to call button there too, and six have no tap to call link at all.

Interior, exterior and cabinets get separate pages

Painter sites are small. Half of the 55 have six service pages or fewer, and 14 have none. Every site on this list has at least six, with interior and exterior work on pages of their own.

Town pages are the open lane

32 of the 55 sites have no city or service area page. Only 13 have ten or more. A painting company that covers a metro area can stand out here with little competition.

Lighter pages, better scores

No painting site we scored reached 90 on mobile Lighthouse. Half scored 60 or lower, and 16 scored under 50. Photo heavy pages are slow unless the photos are sized with care.

Questions About Painting Contractor Websites

What should a painting contractor website include?
Lead with photos of your own finished jobs. Add a free estimate button, a phone number that can be tapped, and reviews. Then give each service a page.
Do painting company websites need a gallery?
They need proof of work, and a gallery is the usual way. The stronger sites also put one finished project at the very top of the home page. A visitor should see your work before reading a word.
How many pages should a house painter website have?
At least one page per service and one per town you want work in. Most painter sites we scored fall short of that. 32 of the 55 have no town page at all.
Does site speed matter for a painting company?
Yes, because painter sites lean on photos, and photos are heavy. Half of the 55 sites we scored got 60 or lower for mobile speed. None showed its main content within 2.5 seconds.
Is schema markup worth adding to a painter website?
It is a small job with a clear use. Only 24 of the 55 sites we scored mark up the home page as a local business. The markup tells a search engine your name, address, hours and trade in a form it can read.
Want a painting contractor website like these?
